Hello Peter, Been messing with the puter all day......ok so this Is where I am now. I went into MSCONFIG again. Then System Configuration. I started with the Items that I thought might be stopping windows from loading so I un-checked them and then I choose to run the computer to open In the diagnostic startup. It works except when I log on the Internet. I suppose because it loads very few things in that option ....one of them may be my connection? I know it works becsuse I am writing to you from my laptop that is wireless with a router from my main tower.
    Any help appreciated. snookie

I will not re-boot anytime soon.....I think I will use it while Its working....lol. We shall see what happens. I also deleted some programs that may not have helped either....Lime wire...my hubby likes it. thanks, snookie

With mention of Limewire and Norton disfunctional I would head over to the Malware & Virus Removal forum for a health check .....

Please read this as indicated at the head of the forum and post the logs requested in a new thread.

Hello Everyone, Well...since I could not get Into My tower on a regular boot up I took it to someone and they said It's the hard drive. I told him also to check for virius too.
Thanks so much....as again....for all of you help. Usually don't have to send my pc out. You are all so great. Will keep you posted on how the new drive works;) Snookie
