Welcome to theMalware and Virus Removalsection of theWindowsBBS Forum
You must follow all these steps for posting to the forum! No shortcuts! Scroll down and read all!
Please remember that we are all volunteers, and that we come here to help when we can. With that in mind, please be patient when waiting for a response. Do NOT bump your topic! We try to resolve logs on a first come/first served basis. By bumping your log you will be pushed back in line due to the new date of your bump. If it has been seven days or more without a response, please PM a moderator or Admin with a link to your New Topic.
If you are receiving help for the same issue at another forum, do NOT start a topic for it here, unless you notify the other forum that you are doing so. Please inform us of this, and give us a link to that topic so that we can see what has been done.
Help us to help you!
Please start your own topic for help. It is not helpful to append your plea for help to someone else's topic. It only means that we must take the time to move it and give it a title, before we can respond. Once you have started a topic, please make all replies to that same topic.
Give your topic a title that reflects your reason for requesting help.
Tell us why you are posting, with as much relevant detail as possible. For example, if you are posting because your anti virus finds an infection but can't remove it, tell us if you can, what the name of the file is, where the file is located, what name your anti virus labels it as, etc.
We want to know what, if anything, you have done to resolve the issue(s) on your own. We want to know what tools you have used, if any, and what they found and/or removed. Be prepared to post logs from those tools ........ we will probably ask for them.
Be sure that you fully understand how to do what we might request of you. If you are unsure, ask before you proceed. We will happily give more precise or easier to understand instructions, so that it gets done properly. If you choose to follow our recommendations, do so as given, in the order given.
When instructed to, post all requested logs and let us know if things have changed, whether it's an improvement or not. We can't see how your computer is behaving, so we are relying on you to tell us.
Getting started ........ what you need
We would like for you to use DDS, a scanning tool created by sUBs
This tool will not make any changes to your system. It will only collect the information we need to determine how we can best help you.
Please download DDS from one of the 2 mirrors and save it to your desktop.
Save both reports to your desktop by clicking File > Save As in each log.
Include the contents of both logs in your new topic.
The scan will instruct you to post Attach.txt as an attachment.
No need for that though ..... just post its contents as you would any other log.

Note - You may be required to split the logs into 2 or more posts due to their size and character count limitations in the forum software.

Note - Failure to follow the rules above will result in you not receiving any help.
Before posting any messages, be sure to read our Posting Rules, and abide by them.
If you have a question, read the F.A.Q. first. If you decide to e-mail me, please note that I will NOT answer any e-mail when the question is addressed in one of our FAQ’s or additional documents.
Please note that we are all volunteers here. We aren’t paid by anyone. We will try to answer your question, but demanding an answer/solution won’t help you a bit!
