I just use a basic cell phone from AT&T that has no Internet or any of those 'smart' features. Even though I try and stay up to date on technology there is no sense in paying for features on a cell phone that I am not going to use.

I chose the Other OS option but I have no idea what phone OS is even running on my phone since the phone doesn't list it.

Same comments as Evan except my phone is from Telus Mobility. My "dumb" phone doesn't even have a camera. It can text but it's so akward to do so I don't even try.

Similar to Evan and JohnB - mine is a Nokia 6015 CDMA but I do txt with the 'phone when contacting son and daughter. My attitude is that a cell phone is for use in emergencies - not to walk down the street txting or sit in the lounge and txt another house member in their bedroom.
This model doesn't have camera facilities, so I can't be sued for taking someones photo and posting it on Youtube. Cheers Neil.:D

Just a simple Tracfone for me - provides sufficient phone minutes for me for less than $10 US per month. I don't text, blog, twitter, etc so my needs are simple. I'm amazed that most of the posters so far opt for basic phone functions and not the latest, state of the art equipment.

iPhone 3G, iOS 4.2.1 ... given to me as a gift a couple of years ago.

I use it for emergencies, primarily, but I like the fact it has the ability to contain a tremendous amount of information in a very small package ... subway maps of Manhattan, for instance, as well as restaurant guides. The camera is handy for when I don't have my digital camera with me.

On the other hand some of the games, while entertaining, are among the greatest time-wasters ever devised.:D

I have an LG Town C300, which is a wannabe Blackberry that lacks features in almost every area (no 3G connectivity, poorer camera, smaller internal memory, less processing power etc) except the fact that the sound quality is incredible, and is superior to my dad's Blackberry Curve! No idea what OS it uses though, and ditto for my old Samsung U600 (which has the same features as the LG, just far worse)

Android is a software stack for mobile devices that includes an operating system, middleware and key applications. Google Inc. purchased the initial developer of the software, Android Inc., in 2005. Android's mobile operating system is based on the Linux kernel.
