:)Nothing at all. I use it myself. I just remember lots of posts in the past which weren't too favorable to MWF.

Surprised not to find my firewall! Could it be useless? My firwall is PC Tools Firewall Plus. As far as I can determine it works well. I have tried a number of those listed in your poll and have been very disapointed .. each in turn has caused my PC to crash. My current firewall has never done this. I suppose it could be me?

derekd look at this. One reason is that this may not be the popular firewall. I do not know why Arie did not put it on the list. Oh Well. That does not mean its useless. It is much easier to learn than Comodo.

I use PC Tools firewall. Good results till now.

How about adding a couple of free Linux based firewalls like Smoothwall Express, IPCop to the soup ?

I have been using Smoothwall Express in my clients place & find it an excellent product.

Windows Firewall is good enough, specially if you are behind a router that has a build-in firewall (enabled).

I find Comodo Firewall Pro excellent. I would still choose it if it were not free.

    Another one not listed

This is no longer available but I like it because I control it's functions.
It is/was AtGuard and was bought out by Symantec.
It work's very well with XP Pro SP2.I do use windows fire wall to a limited extent.
If you would like to check out your security try GRC.com. They have a free
    test for various security functions.

I use Tall Emu's Online Armor, which I and others consider to be the best firewall around. Each to his own choice, however.
