Resolved [Security Essentials Antimalware Service Executable crashes]

    Security Essentials Antimalware Service Executable crashes. I reinstalled the program but that did not help.

    Hi K2EZR. What Operating System are you using?

    Do you have any other security software installed that could be causing the MSE service to crash?

    Antimalware is by Microsoft and the operating system is XP with all current updates.

    Crashes in Microsoft Security Essentials are largely due to malware that cause the crash. Start a new thread in the Removing Malware forum here. Once it has been determined that your computer is free of malware/viruses, return to this thread to either continue the discussion or end the discussion (mark it as resolved).

    Refering to MSE, checking find several sessions show that computer is not "Protected ", requires an immediate scan to make computer protected again. Rather worrying, to think computer is protected when in fact it is not the case. No other antivirus is installed other than Malware (error existed before Malware was installed).
