My computer model is a HP Model A6200N.
I might be wrong but I thought when I formatted the hard drive and installed Windows 7 that I would be starting clean.
Also remember that I am not the only person to have this problem. I have Googled my problem and found many others with the same problem as far back as a year ago. The people that wrote in with this problem were using Dell's, HP's etc. Also Vista, and Windows 7. No body had a cure back then. One person said he updated his bios and his problem went away. I have not started replacing hardware yet.
    Manufacturer's motherboard name: ECS MCP61PM-HM
    BIOS type:
    Phoenix – Award BIOS v6.00PG

    BIOS ID:
    10/03/2007-MCP61P-6A61KE11C-00

    BIOS sign on:
    None

    BIOS date:
    2007.10.03

Tried this back in June with your expert. He was a great help. Found several things, cleaned them up but didn't fix the picture problem.

Problem solved. Bought a new computer.
Old computer crashed in the middle checking for virus's. Pretty sure the problem was hardware related.
All the pictures that were grayed out were damaged beyond repair. When moved to the new computer that didn't help. Stilled damaged
