    Hi!
I have no idea what is going on with my computer!
I tried to open this morning a website with some info I needed, and I wonder if it had a virus or what... but It just shut down IE8 and every time I try to open it, it keep closing itself with no error message...
I run McAfee and didn't find any virus in the computer, but it is still not working...

I am using Firefox with no problems, but I would really like to know if I have a virus that can not detect or what...

I would be glad if someone could help me with this...
    Thanks

Your problem may not be malware, but an add-on - start IE without add-ons and see if that resolves the issue - without knowing your OS I can only post for Windows 7 ....

Start (Orb) > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools - IE (no add-ons)

If the issue is resolved go to Tools (right hand end of Tab bar > Manage Add-ons - disable all and renable one by one until the culprit is found. Test after each add-on is enabled.

    If still no joy ....

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced - Reset.

If still no joy follow Mitch's advice.

    Thank you Pete

I worked but just partially, I have Windows 7 (i forgot to mention it before)
I was able to open IE8 without adds on, and had one tab working well, but the others are closing and restoring like crazy...
I'm going to try your second option, but where can I find the Tools tab?

But I'm already preparing to follow Mitch's advice too

    Thanks
