    It's nice that Windows 7 offers more folder view options, but I wish I could view them just as I did in XP. It's little changes like this that irritate me the most.

    In control panel go to folder options open view tab, right at the top of the list of options is an option to always show files never thumb nails, remove the check mark and then go down to the bottom and click on apply. That will solvr your problem for you

    Thanks Gvan but I have exercised this option and many other suggestions offered but it seems to me that Win7 does not provide the option I require.
    IF anyone running Win7 actually shows C: as a list with thumbnails please let me know how this was achieved.

    Roy I also use windows 7 what you want to do is make sure windows picture viewer is you default program to view pictures.

    Windows Live Photo Gallery is what is listed.
    Will this do ?
    How do I set it as default ?
