When I power up I often get a Windows error message that says Internet Explore has encountered an error and needs to close.
The icons disappear and then reload again. This takes several minutes.

Check your Event logs for related error messages.

To open Event Viewer, go to Start > Run and type eventvwr.msc, click OK.

Check your Application and System logs for errors.

You can double click on any error for more details, and there is also a button to copy the error to your clipboard for easy copying & pasting.

Please enter your System Details. It helps us in answering your questions!

I'm assuming you've run this @#$% since you mention it.

    Look here: http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/reviversoft.com

I'd suggest you format & reinstall XP. Then stay away from rogue software!

I suggest you still have our experts have a look, you don't know what else (could have) slipped through...
