You'll need to put it in C:\Users\Chris as I indicated.

    No.

Have a look again at the command prompt image above and tell me what yours looks like.

Also, you really should enter your System Details. It helps us in answering your questions!

Arie.....thanks for all your help and patience. I, too, would be calm and patient, if I were on Malta. Lucky you!

But there's something not quite right, I keep getting messages that "one or more of the specified arguments is not valid ".

    The CP image is C:\Users\Chris>cd%userprofile%

Response is: "File name, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect "

    You deserve a holiday.

I just noticed that the message "one or more of the specified arguments is not valid" appears if I check "run if user logged on or not ". It does not appear when I check "run only if user logged on ". Maybe that's a clue.

Maybe. I didn't make any changes from the defaults other then the ones I noted, so my first suggestion would be to try that.

Arie.....I'm in information overload at the moment, now generating more SR points than I need. I'll be back in a day or two after I unscramble things and can make sense out of them. Many thanks.

Arie......OK, I think I got it figured out.

    1. If you use the SR that comes with Win 7, checking "daily" doesn't work. The algorithm works tho, I get a point generated when I turn on in the morning and at 6:30pm. But they don't get transferred to the "choose an SR point" list on a daily basis.

    2. Your algorithm works only if you select "Run only when user logs on ". Otherwise it issues warnings and stops. But that's good enough for my purposes. BTW, how do I get your SR "program" onto the task scheduler library? Export?

    Grazzi hafna.........Chris
