Keep getting this error on boot up. (at Welcome screen)
"A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computor" And then Error Code 0x80070002
    Clicking close logs off system.

Just 'membered... A few weeks ago I had to "repair" logon. Said ntloader missing. Could this be where this issue started?
    Just found this ...
    Article ID: 920151 - Last Review: May 29, 2007 - Revision: 1.5
You receive a "0x80070002" error code when you download an update from Windows Server Update Services in Windows XP

Step 3: Add the Primary DNS suffix

    1. Click Start, click Run, type ncpa.cpl, and then click OK.
    2. Right-click the Network Connection that you are using, and then click Properties.

Note Typically, the Network Connection that you are using is named Local Area Connection.
    3. Double-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
    4. Click Advanced, and then click the DNS tab.
    5. Type type the DNS suffix in the DNS suffix for this connection box.
    6. Click OK, and then close the Networking properties windows.

When I try to right click net connections and goto "properies" I get error msg:
    "An unexpected error occurred "

I'm confused too. Does "logs off system" mean the computer shuts down? goes back to login prompt?

Typical informative error message. Are there ever any "expected" errors? ;)

Does Event Viewer provide any clues about any of your errors? Care to copy/paste those event descriptions here?

BTW, please enter your System Details. Those details might help us solve your problem.

    Mailman;
1rst question/ goes back to log on. now it just keeps cycling . When you click on "OK" on the error it just goes back to log on
    2nd issue
Article ID: 920151 had a list of things to do/check.. one was to right click on your network connection. System just throws error listed... won't goto properties section.

All sorts of thoughts are running through my head about this. Your descriptions of exactly what you did/do, exactly what the error messages are, etc. are a bit sketchy so I'm not sure what direction to proceed.

I think that should have been NTLDR instead of ntloader. Perhaps you have malware issues. Perhaps necessary system files are still/again missing/corrupted.

Perhaps those system files are/were located in faulty areas of your hard drive. You have not provided your HDD specs, so here's a diagnostics software link list for several brands.

Hard Drive Diagnostics Download Page Links:

    Fujitsu ....
    http://www.fujitsu.com/us/services/computing/storage/hdd/support/utilities.html
    Hitachi ....
    http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm
    Seagate, Maxtor, Quantum ....
    http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/
    Western Digital ....
    http://support.wdc.com/download/

I assume you cannot login to normal mode. Can you boot into Safe Mode? (I'm guessing that's how you managed to apply the Resolution steps in the MS KB920151 article.)

You also have not clearly stated whether or not you can access Event Viewer.

Perhaps the following 11-page blog article will be helpful in your case.

Please keep detailed notes of exactly what you do, exactly what errors you get, and exactly WHEN they occur. If you give us those exact details, then our help efforts are simplified.

BTW, if you suspect malware, then please read the information in this link and paste the appropriate logs (if you can produce them) in the Removing Malware and Viruses forum. Include a link to this thread so the Malware Analyst who takes your case has some background information to work with.
