Difficult to get any information on AKA System Restore even their own website just comes up with a list of links with no obvious support available for the product. I would uninstall the product immediately and just use windows system restore as it is perfectly adequate for the job.

I don't quite follow the error from windows installer, this is just a list of sysntax commands.

Why do you need to have third party software for system restore when windows has its own system restore built in?

Any files that have been moved by the AKA software can be moved back in explorer using Click & Drag with the mouse.

I would use Windows Restore to get the PC back to before the installation of this AKA software, that should stop the pop up.

Thanks for your reply. I think it is to late for using the windows restore as it have been replace by the said application. I am more concern about the pop up, every now and then when I click a file it will pop up the windows installer although it did not effect any program I used. I tried to run the msiexec.exe in the run box it pop up the same thing. I do hope you can look at this problem.

Thanks for your reply. The said program have been unstalled and they provide instruction to revert back the folders to default. The 'D' ACA_DocFolder in the 'D'drive still remain. The problem is the pop up which appear every now and then. I am not sure whether this application is the cause.

Check for Malware is the only suggestion I can give you.

OK, I can suggest something else .... look in MS config for any stuff related and stop it from starting.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I just check at the MS config and note that most of the startup listed there was normal ( my opinion ). I would be happy if you can let me know more on how to use the msconfig to troubleshoot this Windows installer problem. I am not comfortable in using it.

I'd follow Arie's advice from post #4 and see where that takes you.

It won't do any harm and your thread there could even provide information for answers here if the problem still exists.
