    Hey guys, and girls,

I am having a problem with my virtual memory?? Every now and than it pops up to tell me that it is low! To try and fix it myself I googled 'Virtual Memory Low' and the best looking thing was software called 'RegCure'! I downloaded it and than scanned my computer the results were 7815 errors found, though it wants me to register at a cost to fix it ...hello..hello lol! Is there any way i can do this for free?

    No, no and no!
Using RegCure, or any registry "fixing" tool is a disaster in making.

    Please, post some computer info:
    - processor type, amount of RAM (hold Windows logo key, hit Pause/Break key)
    - hard drive size/free space (open "My Computer ", right click on hard drive letter, click "Properties ")
    - security programs in use (antivirus, firewall)

Optus interent security suite - I see this is some security suite (AV + firewall) from your ISP. I'm totally unfamiliar with the product. Usually those ISP suites are not that great, but...

You could definitely use some more RAM, like another 512MB.

    As for Norton....
Download and run Norton Removal Tool: http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039

After that, you may want to...
Read this post, then post the requested log(s) in the Malware and Virus Removal forum.
When posting, please include a link to this thread.

    try

Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
In the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
In the Performance pane, click Settings.
In the Performance Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
In the Virtual memory pane, click Change.
Change the Initial size value and the Maximum size value to a higher value, click Set, and then click OK.
Click OK to close the Performance Options dialog box, and then click OK to close the System Properties dialog box.
