    Glad to hear the popups have stopped. Would really like to see you get a clean online virus scan before recommending you turn system restore back on. Here's a few others you can try.

    Panda ActiveScan

    Trend Micro

    Bit-Defender

    You might try shutting down your firewall when trying to scan. Just make sure you have no other IE windows open.

    BTW, yes. It does feel good to help people. :)

    downloaded the java , got spyblaster! running the panda scan now ! do i still need to turn my system restor back on ?

    What were the online virus scan results? If clean, re-enable system restore.

    it showed one item! i deleated it cant remember what it was ! do i now need do the system restore now ! if so what date do i need to put ?

    Right click My Computer and select properties, then System Restore tab. Uncheck the box to turn off and click apply. OK out.
