    Hi,

    I have Toshiba Laptop A-200 23P
    with windows vista ultimate.

I'v had a virus Probably, that disable restore points,
well.. i'v taken care of the virus, but since the attack i cannot connect to wireless networks.

when i turn on the wireless switch, i don't see it find any network,
when i go to the network adapter and try to "repair" it say that windows cannot start the wireless service/

so i go to windows services, and try to manually start the service,

    this message appeare :

"Windows could not start the WLAN AutoConfig service on Local Computer.
Error 1068 : The dependency service or group failed to start "

well.. i looked into many forums, try to "play" with the registry,

    Nothing's helped.

i must say that the WIRED network is working.

i don't know what to do anymore..

    Please Help!

    i don't want to reinstall vista.... :(
    10x

I'v Managed to Fixed This :)

Create a new file with the ending .reg

Copy the content of the code block below into the new file
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Ndisuio]
     "Start "=dword:00000002
Or... Just go into the Registry to this Branch :

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Ndisuio\

and change the value of "start" to 2

    Restart The Computer.

    That's It!

    :)

    sagimaster,

Well done for finding the fix and thank you for posting it back here.

However, I've altered it so that the *.reg file only contains the setting that needs to be changed. Your original version changed more settings than needed to be changed.

As you state at the end of your post, all you need to do is change the start value to 2. The revised version does just that, without changing other people's setting to those that suit your system.

    Thank's Reggie :)

Hope it's really help others. because it really freaked me out thinking about the format of the laptop...

    p.s.

what i ment when i'v said "create a .reg file "

is that you create a "new text document" and open it,
copy & paste the string to it, and save the file as a.reg file.
