    A note:

The router is too far away and buildings in between for my wireless to connect to the router.

When I do not have pc1 LAN cable connected I can get on the internet with pc1 wireless going through pc2(when it worked).

Pc2 is always connected to the router via LAN cable.

 I'd forgotten about that option, sorry.

That's where I was confused:eek:. What we are talking about is a problamatic wireless connection between the two PC's not back to the router. Yes?

Well I think I finally got to find some usefull (and correct) information:D

This guide shows you the full set up procedure. If you still have problems then the problem must relate to the wireless adapters, but which one is going to be the remaining question. Anyway, see how you get on with this and we'll go from there.

Yup, I had read that earlier. Lets see what happens when you complete the setup and if problems persist it should be a fairly safe bet that the PC1 wireless adapter is faulty.

IT WORKS. IT WORKS. IT WORKS.

The trick was adding a security key.

When it worked before, I did not have a security.

I will stay with this confg since it works.

Thats great news. I was searching for a driver for that adapter on the lynksys site but got the impression it was plug & play, you had more luck than I did.

With everything now working please mark the thread as resolved from the "Thread Tools" tab just above the top right hand corner of the first post.
