    G'day all,

    Thank you all, that was the stuff that I wanted to hear, now I know.
    I have already downloadet ERUNT and installed and this little proggy seems to have what is needet to get you out of the "Poo" when needet.
    I was not having any problems, but who knows what the future holds, Preventative Maintenance so to speak.

    I am sure a lot of People starting out on XP would have found this thread very informative and helpful.

    No need - if there's no bootable CD in the drive then the next option is floppy.

    Boot order - CD-ROM drive > Floppy > Hard Disk
