    Please do post another log. The WinTools program usually needs more than just fixing the startup entries to remove, and it does need to be removed. The startup entry will usually be replaced if the program is not removed.

    Leave SR off for now.

    Download and install RegSeeker.

    Go to start>run and type services.msc. Locate Wintools in the list, right click and stop. Right click again and select properties. Set to disabled and OK out.

    Scan again with HijackThis and place a check next to the following entries. Close ALL other windows and click fix.

    Appears you may have had McAfee installed at one time and this is a leftover.

    Should fix it also. If you have both McAfee and Norton installed, fix this one to disable it at startup. Ineffective to have 2 anti-virus programs running, and sometimes will create problems.

    Go to start>run and type msconfig, hit enter. On the boot.ini tab, check the box next to /safeboot and OK. Yes to restart. This will restart your computer in safe mode.

    Now in safe mode, you will need to show hidden files and folders, as well as system files.

    Open C:\Program Files\Common files and delete the folder WinTools.
    Open C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB and rename realsched.exe to realsched.old
    Open C:\Temp if present, select all and delete.
    Open C:\Windows\Temp, select all and delete.
    Open C:\Documents and settings\username\Local Settings\temp, select all and delete. Do this for all usernames.
    Open C:\Windows\Prefetch, select all and delete.

    Open RegSeeker. Click find in registry and search the entire registry for WinTools and WTools. Delete all.

    Open Ad-aware and run a full scan. Delete all it finds.

    Open My Computer, right click Local disk C: and choose properties, then disk cleanup. Check all boxes except compress old files and OK.
    Uncheck the /safeboot box in msconfig and ok to reboot.

    Back in windows, scan your PC with RAV. Check the box to autoclean. If any files are infected and uncleanable, click the report button then copy and paste it here, along with a new HijackThis log.

    Scan again and place a check next to the following entries. Close ALL other windows and click fix.

    Empty your recycle bin.

    Reboot to safe mode, on the Administrator account. Open C:\Documents and Settings\Christina\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5, select all and delete. Empty the recycle bin and reboot back to Windows. All should be clean.


    Open Spybot and click mode on the toolbar, then advanced mode. Click immunize in the left pane, then immunize again, this time from above with the green + beside it. Click the link below that for SpywareBlaster, download, install and update. Check for updates weekly. Still in Spybot, click IE tweaks and at least lock the HOSTS file. Then download and install IESpyads.

    That will give you an added layer of protection against unwanted parasites.
