    Hi all,

I have a new problem on my office computer.

Almost every morning when I try to get my e-mail, I can not get on line.
I then start IE8 and it tells me:
    IE cannot display the webpage.
I then click on "Diagnose Connection Problem "
And the Network diagnostics for Windows XP starts.
    The next screen tells me:
Windows has detected a problem with the Winsock provider catalog on this computer.
This catalog allows Programs to communicate with this computer across the network.
Would you like windows to reset the catalog to the default configuration?
I then click on YES and I have to restart the computer and all is fine until next morning.

I should mention that the computer in on 24/7 and the only thing that is running at night is AVG 9.0 running the daily scan.
    Running XP sp3 fully patched.
Our network consists of 2 desktops and 1 laptop. None of the others have this problem.
Every computer is hardwired to the router.

Anyone have an idea on how to fix this.

    Thanks
    Sven

    SVEN-
I had somewhat the same problem with AVG 9. I couldn't get an internet connection. I switched to Avast and now I have no problems.
Check the AVG forums. Other people have the same problem.
