Windows Vista Windows won't shut down

    I will take this advice ; from my brief look last night there was some slight doubt about my graphics card capability ( Radeon X800 series) - at least I couldn't find an answer to the question, but one of your links seems likely to take me to a place where the wole system is checked for capability, so I'll go there.

    I think this one can be marked off as Resolved, one way or another. Thanks both or all or whatever.

    Have you run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - that should clear up any queries re. the graphics card.
