Windows Vista Windows will not update

    ok the only one that worked was the last, all others said its not for my system

    You have to choose the right update!

    The ones without "for x64-based Systems".

    yes those are the ones i chose without the x64 and the only one that worked was the from the last list.

    OK, so you already have the other updates installed. If the last one installed you should now be good to go.

    If that still doesn't work, do a fresh install, keep Windows Update off & start with the updates as listed.

    your right, after the last one did install, I tried the regular windows update and it ran all night and this morning it has 11 updates to install. thanks for all your help
