    How do you figure that? I ran Vista RTM for 2 1/2 months and I was shocked at how well it performed. No crashes, no blue screens and FAST application execution. :cool:

    ivanh - states the below equalities but my understanding is different. my understanding is that

    xp pro = vista business,
    xp home media center = vista home premium
    xp home = vista basic.

    not really sure yet where vista ultimate fits in

    am i right or is ivanh correct in his statement ???

    Think this is a matter of perception, there isn't a one to one correspondence.

    Vista in some ways is a different animal with new mixes of options and capabilities.

    I think your analogies are a better fit.
