The PC has Vista and has been using Windows Mail as a POP mail. Recently moved the machine from Arizona to Kentucky. The Windows Mail cannot send mail, but seems to receive some mail. What is the best way to re-configure the mail program so it can be used locally. Had to set up another mail account so my buddy can do some email until this gets resolved. He has a lot of emails stored on the computer that he doesn't want to loose.
    Many thanks,
    Rob

If the email account is from an ISP in AZ that doesn't exist in KT - you need to get the SMTP settings from the ISP in KT or switch to something like gmail.

If the email account is still active, you might try changing the Outgoing Server (SMTP) port from 25 to 587. (Then close and reopen Outlook).

If that doesn't work, simply change it back to port 25.
