Windows Update v6

    The answer is probably Yes. Most likely MS is offering the update to batches of Windows users at a time, so you could be offered the update later.

    You could get it manual if you whish.

    thanks for the information!

    I thought that "slow spreading" of an update was based on geographical location and not on serial number batches. There is only 45 km between the two computers and both run the same version (swedish) of Windows XP pro.

    I'll wait and see what happens ...... :cool: ...... !

    Yesterday, I was notified of KB898461 and went to Windows Update to check what was there. The version was automatically changed to v6 without any intervention (accepting) from me. I'm also being offered Microsoft Update but have not yet installed it on this computer.

    v6 seems a little shaky. I have been given error messages on a few occasions when trying to access the page.
