[Windows Update Failure Code 8024AFF]

Win 7 home premium, 32 bit.
4 GB ram
Intel i5
64 GB SSD & 1 TB HD.

For many month I keep getting the above failure code when I try to uodate windows, it relates to the failure of updates KB2871997 and KB3063858.
The computer does not appear to be affected by this and various Microsoft offerings seem to indicate it is related to Messenger which I don't use.

If there is a simple fix I will use it, otherwise i will ignore it, any ideas?.

Might pay to see if the KB mentioned is installed on your comp. Neil.
