Solved Windows Update blocked; trojan Alureon.A detected

    This worries me a little bit:
    Check Primary and Secondary IDE settings: Device Manager -> IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers -> Primary or Secondary IDE Channel -> Properties -> Advanced Settings. Look at the Current Transfer Mode field.
    See, if it's in PIO mode instead of DMA mode.

    Primary and secondary are both in "DMA if available" transfer mode. The only other option is "PIO only. "

    Alright, did everything in reply 15. Thanks again for helping me kill the trojan. This audio stuttering can get pretty bad, but I'll keep searching the web for a solution.
