I operate Windows XP Home with Windows Defender.(Spynet adv.Membership)
On opening Defender 'History', I find there are six entries. On highlighting each entry,it tells me, This program has potentially unwanted behaviour. It also states..Not yet classified. One file example is as follows.
    iemain:
    HKCU@S-1_5-21-1202660629-602609370-682003330-1003\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\\SearchBar
Instructions suggest only permit program to run if you recognise the author. A little bit confused with the classification of the above program(That is if it is indeed Microsoft) If it is Microsoft, wouldn't it be classified?

Probably a BHO (Browser Helper Object), it's hooked into MS Internet explorer but not necessarily a Microsoft product.

See What is a BHO they're not all bad but if you're still concerned please read this and post requested logs in the Malware and virus removal board.

    NOTES:
When posting the logs ensure word wrap is switched off (in notepad Uncheck Format->Word Wrap) as this makes them difficult to read.

Be aware that only Malware analysts will advise and they are often busy. Your post will be taken on a first come first served basis but it may take a while before you receive a reply.

Include a link to this thread if you can.
