I want to start off by saying that my computer is for all purposes working, no program has problems and nothing seems out of the ordinary.

Even Windows update seems to be working for the most part. All new updates are being installed properly.

Ages ago the following updates popped up in my windows update as needed to be installed. I was and still am almost certain that most or all of them at that time had allreaddy been installed, but since I wasn't completely sure i accepted them. The install failed.
Since then they have stayed there not being updated, after a good long while it is starting to annoy me.
And before you say it, yes I know I should probalby have adressed this ages ago, but since the computer is giving me no problems .....

    The updates are
    KB824105
    KB910437
    KB833987
    KB828035
    KB914798
    KB839645
    KB823182

All appeared at the same time.

    Does anyone have any Idea
    what have gone wrong ?
How I can check for certain that they have been installed properly and thus ignore the updates ?
How I can fix if they do need to be updated ?

Hi, I use Belarc Advisor which is free to Download and use. Google and get the latest version and after you run it - it will show all that is installed in your PC.

It usually shows all the KB's down the bottom of the page in the order/date they were installed. If the installation was corrupt - it will show a Red x alongside and recommend you re-install manually.

You can go to MS Updates and select Custom and do the Download yourself or type the KB------ required then carry out as above. Cheers Neil.
