Windows 7 Update Problems

    Got Win 10 Pro on one machine. Have too much stuff on the other machines to install Win 10 Pro at the present time.

    That action could only happen in America. Surely a business would have an IT guy? Didn't they take notice of MS messages? Why didn't they return to their previous OS? What are they going to do when W7 support ceases? o_O

    The article didn't go into specifics, but I assume it was a small business owner. Most of the complaints in the article were about the stealthy upgrade process, making many computers and attached equipment inoperable as a result. Some individual owners had to pay hundreds of dollars to get rid of all traces of Windows 10. Even I was caught off guard when I saw the W10 upgrade icon in the system tray of my laptop - which I removed with the GWX tool.

    Windows 10 may be the best operating system to date, but Microsoft could have handled this situation better in my opinion.

    Neil I have Windows 10 Pro on one machine and I like it. It's not a bad OS.

    Is it a pill to turn off the many tracking features in Windows 10, LJ?

    I know it is. I turned off most of the tracking during installation. After every upgrade I check to see if any thing gets turned back on.
