    I went ahead and installed it again, and this time everything looks to be okay. So for me it is solved. (I hope.)

    Only issue/ side effect for my Win 7, 32 bit was Media Player settings were reset to default and had to reload library... minor. There was some other minor thing, but can't remember now.
