I just hooked up a "refurbished" Dell Optiplex 755 desktop running W7 Pro and it does not show the wireless router under device manager. It is connected via eathernet to the router and I have internet connection but cannot find the router to set up wireless connection.

You get to the router through IE. In the web address type the IP for your router:

    Linksys: 192.168.1.1
    Belkin: 192.168.2.1
    Netgear: 192.168.0.1

If you router isn't one of those, just Google "ip address for XXXXXX router.

I didn't know that Windows would show a wireless router. It is not part of the PC, but just a connection point.
