Whenever there are driver problems use your service tag. I worked on a lot of dells this process usually works. My apologies I didn't know you could not get on line. But I'm glad you're back on.

I do not think there is enough room to install these updates? I dunno.

Yeah ,but for some reason I can not install anything and that seems to be my issue. It keeps saying low disk space because C recovery is full. When I go to programs nothing is there.

It shows 28 KB out of 19.5 GB available on C. D has tons of space 429 gb out of 446 gb I signed off last night and when I turned it on this morning now I can connect to wifi. 2 of my drivers are still not there though but C being full is Odd.

Click Start< Run and type diskmgmt.msc and hit enter. When the Disk Management window opens, post a screenshot of the Disk Management window in your next reply.

You installed Windows 7 incorrectly. The Operating System partition should be the letter C and you shouldn't have a recovery partition.

You should install Windows 7 again and this time during setup, make sure to remove all partitions and have Windows 7 install on the unallocated space area so Windows 7 can create the partitions that it needs. Your Windows 7 install setup should look like this, Where do you want to install Windows?

Is there a step by step tutorial somewhere on installing it from a recovery disk?

If you are using manufacturer recovery disks your primary C:\ should be your Operating System and your D:\ should be your recovery partition.

I get this message when it says where do you want to install it shows 3 things Disk 0 partition 1 dell utility partition 2 recovery and Partition 3 is the largest but no matter which one I choose its says setup was unable to use the existing system partition because it does not contain required free space?

Everything is working great now. How do I mark this as resolved? I want to thank you all so much for being patient with me and answering my questions. On a whim, I did this since it was not working the other way..

Once Windows 7 Setup is loaded, press Shirt + F10 keys at the first setup screen (which allows selection of language, keyboard and locale). A Command Prompt window will be opened.
Run Diskpart, the built-in disk partitioning tool of Windows 7 with the following command:
    diskpart

Type in the following command one by one, follow by Enter key to create a partition (text in brackets are comments only):
list disk (to show the ID number of the hard disk to partition, normally is Disk 0)
select disk 0 (change 0 to another number if applicable)
    clean
create partition primary size=80000 (create a partition with 80 GB space; to use entire disk as one partition, omit the “size=value” parameter switch; use similar command to create more partition if needed or create in Windows 7 after installation)
    select partition 1
    active
    format fs=ntfs quick
    exit

Type exit at command prompt to close Command Prompt window.
Continue Windows 7 installation as usual. Remember to just highlight and select the partition just created when come to partition screen.

That's great that everything is working but can you post a new disk management screenshot so I can verify that the partitions are correct?
