Windos XP PC wont shutdown

    Hi i have a xp professional installed PC. It has been used by a graphics guy and he got it ******* up. I cleaned up all the viruses and all. Now when i hit restart or shutdown this PC wont shutdown automatically. I need to manually press the power button to turn it off..

    Can anyone help me out in fixing this PC.
