    Hi
    OK That came out perfect.
    You're welcome.

    Now lets clean up.

Click Start > Run in the run box copy and paste or type ComboFix /u then hit Enter to uninstall ComboFix and remove the files/folders it created. This action will also reset the System Restore points, removing any infected files there as well.
Please check and verify that C:\Qoobox and C:\ComboFix folders were removed, as well as the C:\ComboFix.txt file.

Please Delete RSIT.exe and this folder. C:\rsit

Now about firewalls and other recommendations.

Please look at this link for some preventive recommendations, It could keep you from ending up back here to the Malware and Virus Removal Forums.
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=67958

There are 2 firewalls listed, only download and use 1, you can only run 1 firewall, this also means that you will need to disable Windows Firewall.

If you go with Comodo make sure you use the "basic setup" otherwise it will bug you to death on every little thing you do. Use the "Clean PC mode" but do it soon so you know that you are clean when installing it.

    I'll mark this one resolved.

    Hi
Ok here is what I found,

    Troubleshooting "Stop 0x00000077" or "KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR "
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/228753

I would run a Chkdsk first.

Click on Start > Run copy and paste this in the run box and click OK.
You will have to restart your computer for this to run, and it may take a while.

    Chkdsk /f /r

    Let me know.

I swear Geri Dell makes the worse PC's out there. I think I have found my problem. I have/had a bad stick (or two) of ram. The mother board that dell put in this PC will only run a full bank of memory not just a single dimm, so makes trouble shooting hard. Less then a year old and already burning ram out.(for the second time)
Good thing I bought the warranty. So I am down to 2gigs of ram, well one after vista gets its share. I am witting on Dell to send the new ram. Lets see if they can get it right. The last time they sent me ram it took them three tries to send the right stuff. I will never buy another "per-built" computer again. My last PC, I built myself and it ran like a champ for six years, the only thing I ever had to replace was a fan.

As the above error deals with memory, I will run as is for a few days to see if the problem reoccurs, there is a good chance it was caused by the bad ram. right?

    Hi
That is a possibility as that web site suggests, It will not hurt to run chkdsk and even a defrag.
Some viruses can kind of scramble things around.

A Chkdsk and defrag should be ran every month or 3 anyway, especially if you download and delete very often.

Let me know how it turns out.

    Geri

    FYI
I've had 2 HP computers that lasted me a long time with really no problems. This ones going on almost 5 years.

    Hi
Go to start then select computer, now right click on the C Drive and select properties. Now click the tools tab, check disc for errors>> click schedule and reboot

Ok Geri, check disc came back with no errors. and I have not seen the above error since i removed the bad Ram. So things are looking good.

on a side note Dell got the memory right on the first try this time. I do have to say that Dell is good about getting replacement parts out, might not be the right part but they will send you a part.

Geri I just want to thank you and all the moderators here at Windows BBS for your hard work.
