Inactive win 7 security 2011 virus removal

[Inactive] win 7 security 2011 virus removal

Does anyone have suggestions on disabling and removing this virus? A friend of mine has it on his computer and is unable to run any virus removal programs or malwarebytes, etc. He can't access the internet via IE - simply gets redirected to "purchase" the program to fix his computer (which he knows NOT to do). I have searched online and found some suggestions and guides, but thought I'd see what this forum had to share.

Shannon, ask your friend to follow these instructions as best he/she can (download the software via your computer if necessary). Post whatever logs retrieved in this thread.

IF you can't get any logs post back with steps taken and results and await our malware analysts instructions.
