I use a product called AsHampoo

I use almost all the products from a compaby called Ashampoo.
    http://www2.ashampoo.com/webcache/html/1/home_2.htm

I have no idea where the name comes from but their products are good and they are reasonably priced. Such as their office suite which has a spreadsheet, word processor and presentation for around $70.

I also use their spyware and it seems to work well..

I am just a customer but as I said their product and service is great

    No bashing me please!
I have not used an antivirus for my own computer in several years and I have no need to use one.

However, I DO use antivirus apps on my family members' computers, my clinets' computers and on friends' computers.

And I DO recommend that anyone who reads this to refrain from agreeing with my choice to not run an av program on my computer.

I use several different operating systems, and on my Windows XP I do have AVG free installed but never loaded. I need it to scan other people's computers. I also have a slew of bug removal tools and anti-malware utilities.

I've not been infected with any virus or malware in many years nor will I be. I know that sounds a bit arogant, eh? But I do know what I'm doing on a computer and I know how not to get viruses, mostly by practicing common sense and using safe computing habits.

I'm not really "that" surprised. My wife's son is highly placed at MS and he also never runs an AV. In fact, he hasn't run one for the past fifteen years and to my knowledge has never been infected. Granted, I DO run an AV and will continue to do so. I've stated many times that I think we tend to blow this whole thing out of proportion. I know folks who scan on a daily basis with multiple programs. I've been online now for eleven years and had a total of one infection during my second year and that was through my own lapse in the manner in which I usually go about my online business. That mistake has not been repeated. Anyway... all the best to you. Sort of refreshing to hear.

I have used Kaspersky Anti-Virus for somedays.
    And I used Antivir/Avast!/Norton/Panda/McaFee before.
But I am using an Anti-Virus software called "Rising ".
I am from China, and "Rising" is an Anti-Virus from China.:)
    I couldn't say it's wanderful.
But by the way, I like Kaspersky.
    e..
And on the other hand, avast! usually makes wrong reports when it scan normal software, especially from internal software.

I voted AVG, which I use on my laptop. I also have a free version of F-Secure on my desktop (which Charter redistributes a branded version of for free, to their users), which I also like very much. I did notice a few months ago (I've had my laptop 9 months now) that after automatic definition updates, my screen would go bonkers until I rebooted, and then tried Avast for a week but found I had a problem or two with that. Went back to AVG, and after updating the AVG engine itself, I've never repeated those problems. Can't wait for AVG 8 (a combined free av and as) to come out; then I'll uninstall Windows defender from my laptop.
