Christer, that was not a derail anyway; now I'm confused by Zander's backup comment - so what else is new? Memory, memory, where art thou? That's what makes these discussions so rewarding and maddening at the same time :)

    Regards - Charles

    Hi bmartin,

No problem, you actually made me and everyone probe deeper.

To set the record straight, Barb updated from the link to the big 166MB Pro network install file, which she didn't save, which is fine, and worked out, because SR had that much less to contend with.

    Regards - Charles

    Charles,

Well, I for one hope that Zander remembers correctly and that the MS "tutorial" is incorrect!

Well, I guess I have to plead guilty to a case of memory lapse here. I thought I was given the option to back up or not but I guess I must be remembering wrong. Must have been thinking about the option to choose the location for the files. I remembered that OK (I put mine in a location other than the default) but for some reason I thought for sure I was offered the option to not do it. The MS article is most likely correct. I'm sure they know more about it than I do. Sorry about the confusion. Sort of makes me want to uninstall it and start over again but I'm not in the mood for breaking things right now, so...... :)

    Hello Zander,

I will put mine on D: and name the folder "cyberspace" ...... :D ...... because that's where they'll go in due course!

An alternative would be to slipstream ...... ...... decisions, decisions.
