When deciding to buy a new computer you first have to ask how are you going to use it? If its just for surfing the web and emails then I go with the best price if your into gaming then graphics and memory.

I go with previuos experience in what I have used and magazine reveiw, Maximum PC, PC world, CPU, I also tend to stick with products I have used and based on customer service experience I have had with them, Most of my desk top systems I have and support are custom built, for laptops, I generally go with Dell, the Asus netbooks have been good to me and good customer service experience with them.

I figure out what I need or want, then look at Pricewatch for starters to give me some idea of whats out there.

Not in our neck of the woods! Charged an older neighbor $90.00 to tell him his 4 month old HP drive was bad, then $200.00 more to replace it! All the time it was under full manufacturers warranty! I wouldn't buy a floppy disk at BestBuy...
(did manage to get the 200 back with a small fight...)
