It's supposed to be 3Mbps/386kbps DSL package from Windstream.

I'm at a friends place, don't know what the speed (Cable) is supposed to be, but 4 Mbps works for me :)

I'm formally on 4Mbps Comcast cable, but after some tweaking, I'm getting ~15Mbps on average.
This below is my best result, so far:

Definitely not the fastest service available, but for what I'm able to afford it's alot better than the dial-up I had previously! :D

Notionally 'Up to 8 Mbps', but this is fast enough for me - I can't think any faster anyway :)

Just gotta love speed tests. Who is telling the truth:eek:

    8913/1024
    10,267/1032
    5883/962

Going to my usual msn-cnn test site shows 6375 down.

Time Warrner recently sent me a letter saying they upgraded me from 6meg to 10meg....

    Comcast Cable

recorded 4 mb on survey but in actuality runs between 2.5 and 4 MBs .

Most of the time is on the slower side. I think I pay comcast to much for their service. :(

Looks like I'm getting pretty much the speed that I am paying for through Charter. Surprise, surprise.

Today I get 2 different results one after the other depending on which server I use. Faster one is from Clifton, NJ

    http://www.speedtest.net/result/294438377.png

Slower from New York City which speed test recommends as the server to use.
    http://www.speedtest.net/result/294439518.png.

I live just outside of Philadelphia.

In either case these are pretty good speeds for Comcast - the lower one is the max they tell me I will get.
    Why the huge difference?

I do have one question. Where does ping rate play a role in speed? My ping is always over 200ms but I noticed many of you have a ping under 100ms
