Lenovo/IBM without a doubt. Easy to work on in the shop.

I work daily with Dell, Toshiba, Sony, HP, Compaq, Gateway, eMachines, Asus, Acer, MSI (netbook), and some others.

My latest Lenovo (x61 Tablet) has a service contract with them (Lenovo), and their service so far (2 calls) has been great! It's now running Windows 7 and after making the drivers work it hasn't had a problem. I've had XP Tablet and Vista Business on it also.

The boxes can be the same, but when it comes to service, Toshiba has it figured out. Very quick response on the few issues that I have had.

I recently purchased my first laptop, a Asus 1000HE netbook. Immediately upgraded to 2GB memory and a Seagate Momentus 7200 / 320GB / G-Force Protection. Impressed with battery life, portabilty, and overall performance. Build quality feels and looks excellent, but durability will only prove itself over time. Working on the road, in the car or at home WIFI it's light weight. compact size fits my needs to a T. ;)
