A workstation( xp pro sp3) was infected with security tool. I can't run virus, spyware or registry scans as it shuts down after a couple of minutes. Safe mode does no better. I have found some solutions but they don't seem to work. The items they suggest to remove from the registry do not show up.
I don't like hanging in the registry anyway, is there any other option for removing this fine piece of trouble.

Please read this as indicated at the head of the forum and post the logs requested in this thread which I have moved to the Malware & Virus Removal Forum where it belongs.

I am not sure yet if this is fixed, however it seems not to be on the computer anymore.
Right or wrong I did a system restore to the day befor and them installed malwarebytes. This seemed to fix this, hopefully for good
    Thanks for your help!

"Hope" is quite bad in this case. What if your system is still infected?

Nothing lost by posting the required logs in our Malware forum.

System restore, in most cases, will not cure an infection. It may appear to be gone, but, most likely, it's still lurking behind the scene.
