I was able to download and run the dees.zip this time. I followed the prompts as directed. At the part where it said my desktop would go black except the window that was running the program or whatever that was, the desktop stayed the same. It appeared as the program was doing stuff, however. At one point, My Documents window opened up. I closed that. After it appeared to be finished, I rebooted. No Zone Alarm alerts popped up on the next boot. Experience has taught me, however, to not get too excited about that. Then something weird happened. I have an icon for Windows Explorer on my desktop. I clicked on it to get to Hijack This. The window that opened was titled My Douments, not Windows Explorer.

I wasn't sure if another HJT log was needed, so I did it anyway. It is below.

Very odd occurance with the Windows Explorer icon, and I wish I could explain the why's, but frankly don't know why. Unsure as to why explorer didn't shut down when it should have either. I've run that tool on three of my own machines and two belonging to others without a hitch, for testing before making available. The important thing at this point is that dees and ru.exe are gone, and no harm done (replace a windows Explorer shortcut). Hopefully you can confirm that.

    Your log is clean. :)
