It is in fact the advertisers who help finance this forum as with most web sites.
That is the reason Apps are full of adverts - until you buy the Premium App which does not contain adverts.

RL, I fully appreciate that Windowsbbs rely on advertisers to finance our excellent site, without them it would cease.

If Ads bother you and if you prefer not to subscribe, you could always use something like AdBlock. Your choice, of course.

I asked you why you don't like it and haven't even tried it? Have you ever ate steak or don't you like it so you won't try it? :)

Bobby, What MrBill is trying to say is that if/when you purchase goods on line, PayPal is a quick way of making payment and is usually a guarantee that the trader is above board to be accepted by PayPal.
I myself have used PayPal for nigh on 14 years IIRC. The currency exchange rate is all done for you by PayPal and it enables swift transactions and delivery of the goods you ordered, plus you can trace
any monetary concerns you might encounter. *
As Alan has suggested - AdBlockers might be your best choice.
Remember the advice Judy gave you about Re-installing W10? You probably had Adblock applied previously but did not Re-install it after W10 restarted.
MS do advise that 3rd party software will need to be re-installed after W10 re-installation so you might need to make a list of ALL 3rd party software you have installed on your comp.

    * P.S. Most of the Banks here in NZ are not handling cheques/(checks for US readers) from 2020 on. Cheque books are no longer available from some banks - all electronic transactions.
We also don't have many coins in circulation, 10cent, 20cent, 50cent, $1 & $2. Prices are rounded up or down but if you pay by card (plastic) the true price is transacted. e.g. $10.97c.

RL, I agree with what you say, the world today is entirely electronic, to such that if a break down occurs, all becomes to a stand still. In the UK, the Banks have entirely taken over, tough ( irrespective of age, disability). The Banks only thoughts is financial, over 800 branches now closed, many in large towns, remote places, many people having to travel over twenty miles to the nearest branch, not necessarily the customer's bank. They have also, removed hundreds of cash dispensing machines, with the many charging a fee for taking out your own money. Plastic cards, forbid, mind you it is also suggested removing from circulation any form of money. Taxis, some already carry a dispensing machine, as they recon it is safer than carrying cash.
Gone are the days (good thing) or maybe not, on being mugged - give me your card and proof of number and even your name and address.
