What are you referring to? When you click on the Next button does the webpage display properly or not?

It certainlydid not open, caption showed [Contact Device Manufacturer for Software Recovery].
As said before, update DVD was purchased from HP authorised agent. Disk shows the Activation Code Numbers and these numbers were entered in MS Software Recovery page. I have again returned to use IE9, as Mozila Firefox is not my choice.

What do you mean by an HP authorized agent.

Well HP (Compac) did not directly deal with its customers, rather informed us to obtain the DVD from their appointed agent in Germany. Does this answer your question?

Yes. Just seems strange that HP would not sell you the disk directly.

I entirely agree with you. At the time, being notified by HP that order and remittance should be sent to the address given. After thought, perhaps the Windows 7 Premium 64 bit is not genuine. Activation code has been accepted several times over the past years (2009). Am I right as said in this Forum, if you have correct Activate Code and accepted by Microsoft it should be OK or can the DVD still be a fake?, a good question.

Well there isn't anything else that I can do to help you with this issue unfortunately.

Like I said earlier you might consider contacting a local computer technician to help you with reinstalling Windows 7 on your system. That's all the advice I can give you.
