Using Windows 7 Home and IE 10, is it possible to block Web pages from loading. If it is possible, what are the steps needed to be taken?

IE10? Microsoft is currently working on IE9.

    IE8 is the current browser.

Yes, I entered the wrong figure for IE, it is IE8.
I followed the instructions given by Pete C. Unfortunately this does not solve my requirement.
A specific Web site : [Partypoker.com] for some reason has started to install when I am browsing a chosen Web site.
Can I? block Partypoker as I have no interest.
