web broswer crashing problem, how to fix it.

It was a windows vista ultimate, this problem occurs on firefox3.0 and ie7.5.

After i use my google search it list all url about the search, and i pick one of them, my firefox become unresponsive and the window tell me :firefox is stop working." and it give me some options like dianogstic the problems. But it didn't do anythings even i select the option.

when i try to run firefox in safe mode, the was no problems.

is it neccesary to reinstall both of the web broswers? or there are another threads?
