Hi unlucki, Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

What happens what you open Task Manager and click File< Run and type explorer.exe?

Does Windows Explorer start? Do you receive any error messages when you log on?

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode and seeing if Windows Explorer loads normally there?

I am suspecting that this could be due to a malware infection.

Also please enter your System Details. It helps us in answering your questions.

Note: A common error is to forget to show your System Details in your profile:

Make sure to do the above when entering your System Details, thanks.
