Windows Vista Vista takes almost 10 min to start

Hi,
I m using VISTA home basic on Dell notebook, it takes almost 10-15 min to start, infact i din't put anything on startup? plzzzz help how to solve???????

Look up "Ways to improve your computer's performance" in Help and Support. That will give you all the basic things to check.

Look at if you have enough RAM, if you only have 1GB you should get more.

Only have one antimalware enabled, that is, one antivirus, one antispyware and one firewall. For example, if you use a third party antimalware, check Windows Defender and firewall are turned off.

You can do online antimalware checks (eg. at the TrendMicro and Symantec websites) to get a "second opinion" that you are free of malware.
