I was fixing my relative's computer the other day but I can't seem to fix it in any way. They said that they used a router and the laptop they had worked while trying to connect to MSN but not the desktop. Initially MSN couldn't connect and I thought the firewall was the problem. And then, I uninstalled it (it was Windows LiveCare) and used Comodo (which I use btw) hoping it would work and it didn't. I tried uninstalling AVG Antivirus after and used Avira's antivirus (again, I use this on my own) but it still didn't work. I disabled Windows Firewall but it still does not work. Before I gave up and went for home, I discovered that Windows Update couldn't update nor can Windows Defender either which leads my to the conclusion that any Windows-related applications does not work. I need some serious help here guys!

*I also tried it with no firewall protection on either.
