Unable to download Adobe Flash Player due to Firefox

You are correct Sir....... After Talking to Adobe Support this AM-- "We "--came to the Following Conclusion...

Flash Player "ONLY" reconizes...---Drive "C ".... and will ONLY install to same...
When XP reloaded on My HD----it gave me Drive "I "--- Flash Player seaches for "C "---which is a Smart Card slot--and has No place to put it.. Adobe refuses to "change their application "---to allow it to be Loaded on a H drive or G Drive----so its up to the User---to RE-Network His Computer for such a Small Program... It is NOT a FF nor Win XP problem.. Its Adobe.!! SO---since IE-6---does work without the Flash Player... I will reluctantly---delete FF 3.05....

Hi Rowdy ...

Your problem seems much more complex than what I had. I was able to install Adobe Flash player after several tries of clicking on the minus sign for the installer screen and then closing Firefox. It was finally installed from the desktop. If you are still having a problem I would suggest posting a notice on the forum board.

I'm a bit confused by your last post. Are you saying that you don't have Windows installed on your C: drive?

I have four partitions on my hard drive, with only the OS (the Windows, Docs & Settings, and Program Files folders) installed on C:. Firefox and Thunderbird (programs and profiles) are installed on D:, but I have no problem using Flash with FF.

 

That is correct- I did not Partition the HD---- see this reply from adobe......

When you install, you have the option of selecting where you install the program, AFAIK. My one and only drive is labelled:Y(C). whatever that means, but I have no problem

Gentlemen.... I wish to Thank those that Offered their Help-... It is Greatly appreciated... I have "solved" the "Missing "C" drive Problem---and Now "Firefox" has Flash Player Installed---and Humming along like a Brand New Chevy.....

Simple Solution.....

1--- Change the Smart card drive to "x "---therefore freeing up the Letter "c "..
2--- Change the Unallocated portion of your Hard Drive to "C "....
3--- Re-Boot....

Bingo--- Software will recognize the "C "--and work....

Hi, I don't mean to change the subject, but has anyone here have any problems with Flash Player 10 not running properly because of not(double negative) meeting the system requirements? It states on their website that 128MB of VRAM is the minimum, but my old pc I'm using ATM only has 32MB of integrated VRAM. Am I going to have any issues by installing and running the latest version 10 because of this? Thanks for any feedback.

Hey TonyT, so all the main things should work fine, correct? I'm not going to be watching or downloading anything HD (although I wish I could run it), but I figured I might be better off installing the older Flash 9 instead. Seems I don't have to. Also, my cpu is an ancient AMD Athlon XP 1.67Ghz. Thanks all, and to merkijo!
